Psychological & emotional interference – Communication could be a purposeful activity supported by rationality & reason & one must assure that one isn’t emotionally charged ( i.e. very excited, angry, or nervous ) before one takes part in a very communicative interaction. Over-arousal of emotions may adversely affect both encoding & decoding.

Intercultural differences – The norms of social interactions vary greatly in numerous cultures, as do the way during which emotions are expressed. for instance, the concept of non-public space varies between cultures & between social settings. Our values are our personal guides to thought & behavior & exert a powerful influence on us. we must always be sensitive to cultural differences & take into consideration the values of our listeners & senders while communicating.

The result of filtering is that the person at the highest perhaps never gets objective information.
  1. Loss of transmission – When messages expire from one person to a different in an exceedingly series of transmissions they’re likely to quieten down & less accurate. They get diluted within the way.
